Investigators identified the suspect as Brian Medina, 24, of Long Beach. According to police, Medina was arrested later that day in the 2300 block of Linden Avenue and booked on two counts of attempted murder. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office subsequently filed two counts of attempted murder.
After Davis died, homicide detectives notified prosecutors that the victim had succumbed to his injuries. Police said a murder charge is now pending, and Medina’s bail has been set at $3,025,000.
