  1. I am willing to bet that if you posted what you spent at those restaurants, they will no longer be must eats. Most of them are more than what average people would spend for a meal. $5.00 for a taco at Tuetano, you gotta be kidding me.

  2. Your audio needs major work. Music too loud, voice too low, background sound too high. You need a better mic that isolates sound better, and you need to work on your sound levels while editing.

  3. I like your list, especially Las Cuatro Milpas and Tacos El Gordo for some of the best Mexican food in San Diego! I'd add Sakana Sushi to your list for the best ayce sushi in San Diego. 7. Seriously, if you think the light-green sauce at Oscars is spicy, please do yourself a favor and do not go to Thailand.

  9. Dude, you went to Oscar's and you didn't have a fish taco? Huh? Wait not a single fish taco AT ALL? What is wrong with you? The best birria is at Ed Fernandez.

  17. If you're visiting San Diego and you feel overwhelmed with the options for Mexcian food, don't. Just go to ANY ONE that is the closest to you, chances are it'll be good. When in doubt there should be a Santana's or a taco shop that ends with "-to's" like Albertos, Robertos etc… just go there and get a Cali or Surf and Turf Burrito or Carne Asada Fries and you'll be happy trust me.

  20. 🀍Thank you, I live in San Diego and we always eat sandwiches in Cone Pane in NTC, Blue Fish Market on India Street next to El Indio Restaurant.
Gelato Vero next to Blue Water is great gelato or Boboi Gelato in Ketner Street.

The Crack Shack in Little Italy I love this place i believe the owner used to select the food for Costco.
For ramen, we go raki raki, and my children like tofu House also next to raki raki.

  23. Why don't you try smaller bite portions. The quantity you shove in your mouth in one bite borders on disgusting. At Herb & Wood you ate an entire carrot whole.

  24. Great list! Next time you come out try Bahn Thai, royal mandarin, or animae if you happen to have a craving for Thai, Chinese or fancy Filipino fusion food. And then check out some old town Mexican restaurants

  28. Rubbish. The best restaurant in SD is Adrian's surf and turf on Clairemont Mesa blvd. bar none go straight to Adrian's. How could a professional food blogger not be aware of this place?

  29. As a San Diegan local, the one thing I recommend if you like Italian is Filippis Pizza Grotto. And to authenticate this choice, my dad is from New York and he's 100% Italian. Its our favorite Italian here in San Diego and I wish we could eat here more than we already do.

  34. 9.9/10 list and my only complaint being tacos el gordo and lucha libre. not saying they arent worth going to, they 100% are but you can find better tacos/burritos at a handful of smaller taco shops around the city. obviously impossible to try them all like a 26 year old native has lol but thats why i only took off the .1 πŸ™‚ still a fantastic list and video.

  36. Honestly I would also recommend the French toast, Belgian waffle, and dirty potatoes from morning glory. I still think about the food and rave about it. The hype is definitely worth it. I love sunny boy biscuit co. It’s my favorite place to eat at on a Sunday morning. I recommend ordering ahead on the weekends. Everything is so good.

  37. The tortillas are so good bc they’re authentic Mexican tortillas de harina (flour) the ones they sell here in the US is a dry & cheap representation of flour tortillas with so many ingredients that don’t belong in flour tortillas πŸ₯΄.

  45. Visitors often never head far enough east, but the best Taco Shop in the Tijuana SD Metro Area has 2 locations in TJ and one in SD. The stateside one is in El Cajon – Tacos El Gallo. The rooster knows the way. Tacos that rival CDMX.
