The 0.8-mile trail leading to the beach meanders through wetlands and alongside the train tracks that inspired the beach’s name, as noted by AllTrails. For hiking enthusiasts, the Panhe Nature Trail to Trestles Beach offers a moderate 4.9-mile journey that starts at San Mateo Campground, filled with opportunities to observe local wildlife, birds, and native flora.
