LOS ANGELES, CA — A motorcyclist lost his life in a multi-vehicle accident Saturday morning on the Golden State (5) Freeway near Griffith Park.
The incident took place around 7:25 a.m. Saturday on the northbound freeway close to the connector leading to the eastbound Ventura (134) Freeway, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.
The accident involved the motorcyclist, a semi-truck, and a minimum of five additional vehicles.
Hernan Schwindt, 21, was declared dead at the scene, according to the Medical Examiner’s office. Information regarding his city of residence was not disclosed.
A Sigalert, issued at 7:45 a.m. that closed lanes 1, 2, and 3 of the northbound 5 Freeway, was lifted at 11:19 a.m.
