A tiny, fully immersive MCM gem in the desert. I had the pleasure of touring this cutie during Palm Springs Modernism Week.

  1. Horrible narration. Painful.

  2. The dreadful mega church was originally a restaurant called Rim Rocks, built in the early 1960’s. In its day it was a very popular place with the celebrity crowd in Palm Springs at the time and had featured music. By the 1990’s it became a notorious nightclub, and past 22:00 Hrs., on the weekends you would see girls with super short dresses, and higher than high platforms going inside.

  3. @4:24, I love that kitchen. It's sleek and modest. No fake Shaker, ugly stonework, giant island, jutting refrigeration or black hardware. I'm surprised that there is so much carpeting. Isn't Palm Springs hot and then really hot? Love your scarcastic style.

  4. Hilarious that they put in jalousy windows. You can’t keep the heat out.

  5. Thank you!
finally someone who understands how to properly restore a mid-century modern house. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a mid century modern Marvel with all of its original elements Just totally gutted ripped out and replaced with this horrible sterile, modern design, and they still try to call it mid century modern.

  6. Lovely Tour. I enjoyed your commentary.

  7. Large roof over hangs are beautiful and protect the doors, windows and siding from rain and moisture damage.
Water is the enemy of buildings. Architects and home builders need to bring back large roof over hangs

  8. Thank you so much for this video. I see this house all the time when I’m visiting the nearby Goodwill. I’ve always wondered what it look like on the inside. Now, I have to do the tour next year. I agree with you on Freehouse one. I too want to buy it, we could go in on it together? 😊

  9. Why are you wearing a COVIDIDIOT mask?

  10. Loved this video and the commentary was spot on!!

  11. Just found you. What a great channel! It's so joyously pleasant to hear intelligent, genuinely fun and opinion expressive commentary over fresh video. Thank you and I can't wait for more….

  12. I've thoroughly enjoyed your running commentary on this tiny mid-century Marvel. I too hate it when native "historic" homes are gutted into cookie-cutter sterility leaving nary a trace of the previous heart and soul behind- there oughta be a law…..!

  13. Nice job. You do great video. 👍

  14. A very gorgeous house. You have wonderful taste and offer something unique on each video. Thank you for sharing this with us.
There is truth in over restoring a home. This is done extensively today. You have given me a different perspective on architecture.

  15. So lovely!

  16. Oh my gosh those views!!! How absolutely stunning. I LOVE those green dining chairs in the living area 🙂 Don't get me wrong, I do love some modern decor and style but the retro style just makes me smile and and wish I owned many of those items. sigh one can dream lol. Thank you so much for the tour of this gorgeous home xx
