  1. I flew this connection in 2001 on a q400. Original flight was O’Hare to LAX. Had to spend hours at the united terminal because the first plane had a problem and we had to wait for another one to fly in. I should have rented a car and done the drive, it’s only 120 miles.

  5. This is THE Best footage that I have ever seen of the KLAX — KSAN route. It was like I was sitting in a portside window seat of the airplane. The cinematography was excellent: no shudders, always in sharp, crisp focus, perfect lighting… and the sound: Aircraft engines spooling away in the background, SoCal ATC chattering nav instructions to the pilot of your plane, Flight Attendants attending… This video had the atmosphere of familiarity, with audible ATC being the icing on the cake! Thank you so much! 👏 😃

    Great flight, though short. The landing in San Diego reminded me of the original Kai Tak Hong Kong. Such a tight airport and I can't believe it's undergoing massive renovations.

  31. I grew up in San Diego in the 50s and 60s.. when I was 18 a friend and I decided to fly to LA on a whim…we paid 6.15 each one way and it took about 30 minutes…where we turned around and returned paying another 6.15 ea ❤

  32. my wife and i flew this route in 2024 on Delta (Skywest) one of my favorite routes. over the Pacific most of the way but you can still see the coast. LOL.
