Not sure about TJ now. Itβs kind of scary.
@barbarac41
Parking problems, tell people truth about parking problems in SD.
@Dnn411
My H.S. prom and Christmas dance was always at the del. Then, we used the ferry to get to the hotel del.
@Dnn411
I grew up in San Diego decades ago, then, downtown was old, rundown, decayed- seedy with seedy shops and an over abundant of βwomen deprived βsailorsβ, many on leave β¦.if you know what I mean.
@AHill760
Good looking out for mentioning Oceanside and North County. A lot of creators dont when speaking on SD.
@JoelCurty-m8r

#16 Donβt visit city heights
@joebelow9700
I lived there for fifteen years ('83 to '98) and it's changed an awful lot! (expected). NO FRIES IN CARNE ASADA BURRITOS!! π
@HyperTeve
Just visited on 4th of july weekend and had a blast. I did stay downtown but it wasn't too expensive. A LOT OF HOMELESS PEOPLE. Parking downtown is crazy expensive depending on time but definitely rent a car. Party 1 day on the strip then visit the beautiful scenery outside the city
@bluesky_bluesea
12:38 I guess u paid for the convenience?
@needsmorecowbell1758
you right. We're in oc and I thought I could do it in 1 day. nope. I appreciate your channel!
@cute28000

@susannedoe9320
We used Turo when we visited San Diego for a rental car. It worked out wonderfully!
@whitewitchmom3
Lived in La Jolla and my prom was at the Hotel Del.
@marcelachan1114
Sir, you should continue blogging because you sound like so so professional on your presentation.
@user-rl9rx1pu8k
You suck
@heidi1897
I cannot believe the beaches don't allow alcohol?? That's weird
@heidi1897
Brilliant video. Thank you ππ
@boombapdoom493
Armandoβs taco shop on palm near IB π₯
@edskins420
Jay #8 was for me! I always try to do too much!
Going to Padres-Dbacks June 7th! Letβs meet up!!
@connormcnamara1727
The main reason I am going out there in July is for San Diego Comic-Con
@CindaMurphyRealEstate
Love this! Wish you talked more about where to park.
My GPS takes me to the point of interest or the location but doesnβt always tell you where the parking is and it can be stressful and hectic to try to find it.
@TRAVELLORABROAD
Thanks for these tips on what not to do ! So looking forward to visiting in 2024
@stevegiblin270
I donβt drive and can I still get around on public transportation sometimes and are the π trolly tours ok?
@jeannineeileen5019
It's ironic how you suggested Tijuana as a tourist spot instead of a mistake the FBI put Tijuana as the number one worst city in the world as far as crime
@philjorgensen1950
Respectfully Jay, I vacation in San Diego frequently (6x in the last 18 months) and I never rent a car. With the Coaster that serves North County so well, great vacations await in Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, and Solana Beach. Around the city too, the light rail helps for Old Town to Downtown, Mission Valley, UTC, etc. Cars are too expensive. Plant yourself in a hotel by the beach, the bus can help too.
@GaryBaglien-m6k
Donβt forget the Air & Space museum. πππππ
@Culturalgazelle
I love SD, but for some reason, Mexican food in LA is better and more authentic. Iβve had a large sample size from both. My guess would be LA has a lot more Mexican regional diversity
@hydrationangel2851
SD cruising San Diego looks nice β€
@hydrationangel2851
1st tip: do not visit downtown π
@jp6378
dont forget to visit Mission San Luis Rey…offer a candle or say a prayer in the old mission; freddy's smash burgers in san marcos; gaja korean bbq ayce with robots serving your food in carlsbad; ice skating rink in la jolla; historic whaley house in old town; julian for apple pies…
@noblelies
Enjoy all of the Mexican food. Just stay away from Filiberto's and Alberto's. Their photos look good, but they are definitely a lie.
@frankt5987
Stop driving 50 mph on the freeway. Itβs dangerous and Iβve seen people get into accidents because of slow drivers.
@johndavis6535
Not sure crossing over to Tijuana is the best advice for most tourists to the USA.
@yzkid100
I like you mention North County all the way out to Ocotillo, Julian, etc. People should know how diverse SoCal is from the forest to huge deserts to beaches
@thomaskindlund410
Superbly, well done tour of SD,, couldn't be better. : )
@ericrypt
As a San Diegan, I feel like you nailed it nice shout out to North Park π
@shastica
I'm going to see USWNT on Sunday October 27, arriving on Friday night and leaving Monday night, I only want to eat walk and drink before the game daye, is downtown a good spot?
@charlesburke2379
This video is correct on all accounts. Except it failed to warn visitors about San Diego cops. They have a ticket and a fine for almost everything. Whether driving or walking. They give no warnings and take no excuses and any ticket they write is always for hundreds of dollars. But just for the record the best Mexican in the world is in Los Angeles! No ifs, ands or buts. But San Diego is certainly a close second.
