  26. Respectfully Jay, I vacation in San Diego frequently (6x in the last 18 months) and I never rent a car. With the Coaster that serves North County so well, great vacations await in Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, and Solana Beach. Around the city too, the light rail helps for Old Town to Downtown, Mission Valley, UTC, etc. Cars are too expensive. Plant yourself in a hotel by the beach, the bus can help too.

  39. This video is correct on all accounts. Except it failed to warn visitors about San Diego cops. They have a ticket and a fine for almost everything. Whether driving or walking. They give no warnings and take no excuses and any ticket they write is always for hundreds of dollars. But just for the record the best Mexican in the world is in Los Angeles! No ifs, ands or buts. But San Diego is certainly a close second.
