Qantas SOP does not require lighting to be dimmed on takeoff or landing

Qantas is one of the most disappointing airlines I've ever flown. Slapdash service with a sneer by cabin crew who clearly loathe their job. The food is revolting and the bathrooms never serviced. All up a horrible experience. If there is an alternative carrier then take it! Never again for me.

Worst flight ever LAX to Sydney. 15.5 hours in a meat locker. It was so cold even with extra clothing and blankets. Next day sinus infection and 102 fever. Never again.

That first "ding" after takeoff is supposedly to tell the Flight Crew it is 5 minutes until drinks time. lol I did not know that. The earlier the better. Ding!

Next time if that happens just keep going to your terminal’s arrivals and take the elevator up, at least this is the case with TBIT. Happy flying

I flew on Qantas too a week before yours (5 May 2023), from Brisbane to Singapore. It was great and I booked the vegetarian meals. It was ok. Other wife and son took the regular (non-vegetarian) meals which was better

Next time try the Park N Fly program @ Embassy Suites LAX. Leave your car & take the hotel shuttle to the airport
