How do you walk back into the US?

I think CBP can be lax or stricter depending on when you go. However a couple of notes there is a difference between a Normal Drivers License, a Real ID, and an Enhanced Drivers License.
First, Normal Drivers License will soon not be able to be used as identification for flights within the Continental United States. This basically means domestically from state to state.
Second, Real IDโs can and will be required if you want to use them as Identification when you fly domestically. Iโm assuming he was able to get by with his Real ID last time because Customs was more lax.
Finally, Enhanced Drivers License can only be provided by five states in the US. The five states that can issue an Enhanced Drivers License are Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, and Washington.
Taken straight from DHS Website –
โEnhanced Drivers License (EDLs) are state issued enhanced drivers licenses that provide proof of identity and U.S. citizenship when crossing the U.S. border in a vehicle. They are issued in a secure process, and include technology that makes travel easier. EDLs are a low-cost, convenient option for entering the United States from Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean through a land or sea port of entry, in addition to serving as a permit to drive.
EDLs make it easier for U.S. citizens to cross the border into the United States because they include:
* A Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chip that will signal a secure system to pull up your biographic and biometric data for the CBP officer as you approach the border inspection booth.
* A Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) or barcode that the CBP officer can read electronically if RFID isn't available.โ
Since California does not offer EDLs he was only able to use a Real ID and with that alone results may vary. I personally have a Passport but if I was able to get an EDL it would certainly be great if I was going through the border by foot or car.

Iโm excited to go for my first time but everyone keeps telling me itโs dangerous. No these people telling me havenโt been there ever before .. from my research as long as you stay in tourist areas you should be okay..

@obear1
more great views! AND tips๐๐
@edeinhorn6016
Hmmm. I see at 0:03 that you have a new background. Is that (I don't know what you call it) fabric hanging behind you something you picked up in Tijuana? I suppose if you change your background to match the topic of your video, like the picture you had hanging of the road and mountains, then that is actually a great idea!
@YellowProductions
Glad this trip was less adventuresome than 2022 ๐
