The 2025 San Diego Rodeo will showcase over 100 of the world’s premier rodeo athletes vying for more than $800,000 in prizes. This year will also introduce daily rodeo after-parties featuring performances from renowned country artists like Elle King, Ryan Bingham, and more. Alongside exciting competitions and post-event concerts, attendees can explore a vendor village showcasing traditional Western styles, crafts, and art, offering a delightful experience for the entire family. Tickets will be available for purchase starting September 17, 2024.
Many of the top talents in rodeo will be participating in the San Diego Rodeo, including numerous champions from the NFR qualifiers and the INFR Indian National Finals. Competitors will engage in a variety of timed events and disciplines such as barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, and bull riding.
San Diego boasts a rich rodeo heritage, with roots tracing back hundreds of years to the initial indigenous charros and the subsequent Charrerías, which have been recognized by UNESCO and continue to be celebrated across the region today. The rodeo tradition is deeply entrenched in Hispanic, Indigenous, and Black Hispanic cultures, predating the city’s establishment. The San Diego Rodeo is proud to highlight participants from various Indigenous Sovereign Nations such as the Kumeyaay, Blackfeet, Northern Cree, Métis, Sioux, Chippewa, and Crowe.
