LONG BEACH, CA β A teenager was shot several times while driving a vehicle Saturday morning in Long Beach, authorities said.
The boy suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the upper body and self transported to a hospital, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Officers were dispatched at about 2:10 a.m. to the hospital to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The victim was driving in the area of Atlantic Avenue and Artesia Boulevard when an unknown suspect in another vehicle fired at him, police said.
Officers located a crime scene, and detectives responded to the location. The motive and suspect information were not immediately clear.
