Royal Caribbean International is set to homeport a ship in San Diego for the first time in over ten years with the debut of the Serenade of the Seas in October 2026.
This impressive 962-foot vessel accommodates 2,143 guests and will offer itineraries ranging from two to seven nights, departing from the Port of San Diego to destinations such as Baja California, the Mexican Riviera, and the Sea of Cortez.
Royal Caribbean’s 2026-2027 season in San Diego kicks off on October 2 with a two-day journey to Ensenada, starting at $306 per person, according to the cruise line’s official site.
Throughout the winter season, the itineraries will include stops at Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, La Paz, and Catalina Island.
Officials noted that outside of a repositioning cruise through the Panama Canal, Royal Caribbean has not used San Diego as a homeport since 2010.
