PALM DESERT, CA — A nonprofit organization recognizing schools and districts that “encourage collaboration among educators on best practices for raising student achievement” has given a nod to six Palm Desert Unified School District campuses.
Last month, the Educational Results Partnership released its annual California “Honor Roll.” Ronald Reagan Elementary, George Washington Charter, Palm Desert Charter Middle, James Monroe Elementary, Gerald R. Ford Elementary, and James Earl Carter Elementary were named to it.
Approximately 21 percent of the schools in the state made the Honor Roll. See the list here.
Honor Roll schools are recognized for demonstrating consistently higher levels of student achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and a reduction in achievement gaps among student populations, according to ERP.
In addition to schools, the ERP features a district Honor Roll. See the list here. Four Riverside County school districts were named: Corona-Norco Unified, Murrieta Valley Unified, Riverside Unified, and Temecula Valley Unified.

“This year’s Honor Roll highlights schools where students are acquiring the fundamental skills that directly align with what employers value,” ERP Board Chair Dan Kinney said. “We are proud to recognize these high-performing schools and are committed to learning from their best practices in preparing students with the foundational skills in reading, writing, and math that are critical for success in today’s job market.”
