LONG BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 18, 2025) — A violent collision on Seventh Street between a sedan and a cargo truck left one person dead and two others injured Wednesday morning in Long Beach.
The crash happened around 11:45 a.m. on Seventh Street, just west of Silvera Avenue, according to the Long Beach Fire Department. Rescue crews arrived to find the cargo truck overturned and multiple people trapped.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Two occupants of the truck were pulled from the wreckage using the Jaws of Life and transported to a hospital in critical condition. The sedan’s driver was also hospitalized with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Seventh Street was closed between Pepper Tree Lane and Campus Drive for several hours while Long Beach police investigated the cause of the crash.
