If I am not mistaken, France no longer considers itself ‘friends’ with America due to a long list of grievances regarding Trump, his insidious lies, false accusations, his abhorrent behavior and general disrespect of each and everyone who refuses to shower him with a litany of narcissistic praise. Sickened by Trump’s bullying, threats, fake narratives, his unapologetic greediness and ridiculous claims, blaming the World, friend and foe alike of robbing blind, therefore stating America as a victim of historical global shakedowns throughout the centuries, now has earned the (godgiven) right to retake whatever he ‘feels’ belongs to him, whatever he ‘thinks’ is owed to him or America and – to make matters worse – he also believes the entire world owes him/America return-favors over the last 300 years. In short Trump’s global message is similar to China’s, Israel’s and Russia’s modus operandi “If I want it, I take it, no matter the factual basis of my claim, be it real or imagined, true or false, best give it up OR ELSE!!!”
Along those lines, similar to Trump’s reasoning, France has decided they too have a right to reclaim what’s is historically theirs. In the past France has extended their friendship in honor of the special relationship with America by gifting the iconic statue of Lady Liberty by Eiffel. However, due to the geopolitical tensions caused by Trump and his fascist ideology, France’s grand gesture of friendship, the statue itself feels like a mockery as ALL that it stands for directly opposes ALL that Trump’s nazi-regime puts into practice.
Reason why France wants HER PROPERTY back! This as a reminder to Europe where she still symbolizes equality and brotherhood, human values that still carry significance in our democracies.
In the line of Trump’s thoughts and to put current geo-political tensions into a better perspective I would suggest to fill Lady Liberty’s spot on the map by replacing her with this statue of America’s iconic Marilyn Monroe statue. Perhaps by doing so Trump will develop a sense of historical significance, an appreciation of cultural differences and a better understanding of the contributions to America’s greatness made possible by other countries and centuries of sacrifices made by the native Americans, Black slaves and the first immigrants who laid the foundation and build a nation brick by brick.
None of it matters to Trump and his lieutenants so returning a statue of such symbolic importance to Europe should not be so difficult to part with by these neo-nazis, who Rather cling to their chaos, hatred and divisiveness. Let’s consider it the spoils of a divorce settlement. Return Lady Liberty to France or build her up in Brussels to unite Europe by detangling us from all who harbor nazi sentiments.
If Monroe’s statue is somehow dwarfed by the phantom of former greatness now gone perhaps leave Marilyn where she is right now and friendly beg Putin, Xi, Netanyahu or little rocketman to honor New York by donating a Trump statue twice the size of Lady Liberty.
Have the statue face NYC and instead of holding a torch have it show both middle fingers up as a vivid reminder of what it means to be a true patriot and proud American. Surely it will be an inspiration to all who witness American GREATNESS at its finest 👍🏻😉
