Man Stabbed To Death Found Under Freeway Underpass In Long Beach


LONG BEACH, CA — A man was found dead underneath a 405 Freeway underpass with multiple stab wounds early Thursday morning in Long Beach.

Police responded to a report of a person unresponsive lying in the road in the 3300 block of Long Beach Boulevard at about 12:35 a.m. When police arrived, they found a man lying under the freeway underpass suffering from many stab wounds.

“Long Beach Fire Department personnel were on already scene, rendering medical aid and attempting life-saving measures,” the Long Beach Police Department said in a statement.

Paramedics took the man to a local hospital, where he was later declared dead. The man’s identity was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

Homicide detectives are still investigating the motive and circumstances in the incident.
