Three individuals were taken into custody following a pursuit that began in Coachella and ended in a collision on westbound Interstate 10 near Cook Street.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office stated deputies spotted a stolen vehicle around 1:00 p.m. Friday near Cesar Chavez Street and 54th Avenue in Coachella. When they attempted a traffic stop, the driver refused to pull over, leading to a pursuit onto westbound Interstate 10 at Monroe Street.
The chase continued along the freeway until the suspect’s vehicle collided with another car near Cook Street.
Of the three occupants in the stolen car, one was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. Authorities reported no other injuries.
