  4. Your knowledge of Coronado is horrible. Most of your facts are incorrect and please get in shape before you make another video. Nobody wants to hear you huffing and puffing. I thought you were gonna have a heart attack.

  5. Coronado hasn’t changed too much over the years. It has never had much of a homeless problem. During my college years, I had a girlfriend that lived in Coronado. I would ride the ferry over to see her. If you were on foot, you could ride the ferry for $.10 and for $.25 you could ride the ferry back-and-forth all day if you wanted to. Summertime was a great time to ride the ferry to see the girlfriend. Listening to AM radio rock ‘n’ roll.

  6. I don’t know if everyone knows but at the end of the day”island” there is a navy base. So avoiding the base hours is a good idea and way down at the end of the beach is a nice doggo beach. Dogs can run free

  8. Was there last summer, beautiful place. One of my favorite places in the us that I have visited. We stayed at Loews Coronado Bay, great hotel and friendly staff

  20. Absolutely our favorite beach in San Diego! One of the only places that have beach wheelchairs available (at the guard towers) so my wife can get out into the surf (NOT the easiest thing in the world to PUSH, mind you!)…by the way, the Del Cheeseburger May be $29, but it’s REALLY good!

  21. As a fan of Some Where In Time Movie, after checking out the Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island in Michigan, my wife insisted that we check out the Del Coronado Hotel in San Diego to compare. I preferred the Grand Hotel (from the movie) and she preferred the Del Coronado (from the book). Both are awesome. Thank you for this review.

  22. Hi Chris. Great walking tour of Coronado. It's not a place I've heard of before. It's a beautiful and pretty laid back area, except during the summer. Love how the hotel kept the classy look and vibe. Such a beautiful hotel. Would love to stay there if I get a chance. Thanks for sharing and take care.

  23. Just visited there today and had dinner at Sun Deck, the best Passionfruit Margarita Ever! We had to come to our accomodation sooner as it was freezing cold. Where is the beautiful blue sky hiding?

  24. This may be a silly question but is there a way to watch the Navy Seals train on the beach etc? From Colorado here…for example, sports teams having viewing for practice games etc. Not Military, but just wondering…thnx😊

  28. I was hiking Cabrillo when you made this video! I worked at this hotel for over five years. Loved it! One of the bellmen at the Hotel Del Coronado was my boyfriend for years! Met my hubby on Coronado, as we both lived there for years. He still works in Coronado. We always love going to Coronado! Definitely the "Crown Jewel" of San Diego! (Sometimes…recently…the beach in Coronado is closed too. I know that this polution issue is finally really beign addressed now though!) Glad you made this video! 🙂

  31. A wonderful review. When I lived in San Diego over 30 yrs. ago,I got viisit that placemhotel.I would have to have stayed as a quest. A friend had a friend owned a gift shop selling Sottish merchandise. I did eat a chinese in the downtown area.Once my boss their out in San Deig Harbor,and docked in Coranado. Also my friend Steve niece who a Surgeon lives with Surgeon husband and a family.They must have beautiul home as most there are and quite wealthy.
