The Comedians with Disabilities Act (CWDA), the pioneering comedy troupe that has been reshaping humor and challenging perceptions since 2010, will kick off a Spring Tour in 2026, with performances in Montana, California, and Oregon.
Originally created in Northern California to highlight a comedic perspective often overlooked by mainstream media, CWDA has entertained thousands across various venues, including colleges, comedy clubs, and corporate events. This tour is set to bring laughter, insights, and compelling storytelling across three states while raising funds for their upcoming comedy docu-special titled “Comedians with Disabilities Act: Going Beyond the Punchlines.”
The film will showcase 10 comedians with diverse disabilities, highlighting their on-stage talent and the real-life stories behind their humor. A number of the featured comedians will perform live during this spring tour, providing audiences a sneak peek into the remarkable voices and unforgettable personalities featured in the documentary.
This Spring tour includes performances in theaters, colleges, and community spaces, featuring 11 comedians, several of whom are part of the docu-special, across 7 venues (with more to be announced!). The diverse lineup of comedians brings a wide range of perspectives from individuals with both visible and hidden disabilities.
