As one of Jimmy Buffett's faithful "Parrotheads," I stayed at Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs when it first opened in late 2020. While the Margaritaville Resort PS may be fairly new, the property is not. For anyone familiar with the Palm Springs area, this resort used to be the legendary Riviera Hotel, which opened in 1959, and was frequented by Hollywood A-listers like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. They have cleverly designed this resort using the original bones and layout of the Riviera, which really seemed to be a perfect fit with the Margaritaville theme. But now, when you arrive, you'll know you're in Margaritaville when you see the giant flip flop and pop-top (from the song "Margaritaville") in the lobby.
