  3. Great content, BUT you really need to get to North County San Diego. There are many excellent Mexican restaurants that are as good, is not better that SD proper!

  7. Calling Morena "Point Loma Adjacent" should be a crime. It's Bay Park! Also JV's is good but Nico's right across the street is better

  8. Great video, san Diego has amazing burritos and tacos. Love their fish tacos. There are 2 spots I want to share with you that are amazing as well. Don't let the name fool you they have great breakfast burritos and that is a place called Lucky's Lunch Counter. It's located near Petco field in downtown San Diego. The other one is The Old Townhouse Restaurant in Ocean Beach, their breakfast burritos are amazing as well. This place has a diner type atmosphere but don't let that fool you. Both are great but in either case, go hungry!

  11. El Indio is the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had in all of San Diego… maybe my life

  12. Live in South Carolina and I make a breakfast burrito at least 3 times a week.
Chorizo, jalapeños, onions, eggs, salsa and bacon cooked together. Hash rounds cooked separately. Tortilla, sour cream, mozzarella and Ortega sauce!!!
Would get them from a food truck in San Diego in 95-99 and have been trying to recreate them since.

  13. I’ve lived in SD my whole life and I’m not sure I know anyone who eats carne asada in their breakfast burrito. Machaca maybe, but never carne asada. That’s reserved for lunch and dinner baby.

  14. I miss San Diego taco shops! Lived there for about a decade, and I can honestly say I spent thousands of dollars on taco shop food😂would eat 2 meals a day at some taco shops just because it was so fast and convenient and on the way to work and play.

  18. Taco Surf is under new ownership and recently in the past few months the food is bland. The cooks are not seasoning the beef, chicken etc. Make sure to tell them to season the food before cooking

  20. Jvs is best for value . Leave OB for JVs all the time. At JVs get their big one with bacon add ham so good. Surprised JoJo roper’s ding repair with one when i picked up my surfboard for repair 🤙
    Cheese was melted 🔥

Taco surf was better when john owned it. Build your own days sour cream, cheese, egg, hash browns but the hash browns were different back then cant fully remember the texture of it like denny’s hash brown style

ortiz’s never had their breakfast gotta try it.Swear to god you get bigger carne asada burritos or calis if you went to PL, which I didn’t and its cool I respect that.

Favorite in sd was super oscars super breakfast burrito that had bacon and ham but it was that thick cubed and grilled ham and it was on/off when the cheese was melted. It was on university but they shut down. 😢Tacos el paisa has a killer one too.

I know mike red tacos is mainstream but for a reason their birria tacos are so good. Your reaction looked like that was your favorite of all em if you had to pick what took top honors?
