  2. Got to fly in Sentimental Journey back in 2010, great flight! Was in two seat nose section, Navigator's seat for take off then switched with the other guy for bombardier seat for landing.

  8. Several years ago, we were in Arizona visiting family. My son, 12 year old grandson and I went to the Air Museum, IIRC, in Tucson. This majestic War Bird was there and my son and grandson went aboard. I have some great photos of them inside. One is of my grandson standing behind the Waist .50 cal Browning. I was able to reach out and touch that polished aluminium skin. I was recovering from a hip replacement and didn't dare try to climb into that beautiful bird.

Thanks for sharing this video with us. Maybe next time, if it's there, I'll make an attempt to enter. So great a piece of Americana.

  12. I got to fly on a B 17 in Sugar Land TX 20 + years ago. I hung onto the 50 cal at the waist gunners window. I won't be forgetting this anytime soon… God bless the men who fought for us and who died for us in these planes.

  20. My grandson is 9 he and I just went to the Yankee Airforce Museum. They have a B17 and a B 25 that you can fly on. Next summer he will be tall enough and we are going. The B 17 flies over my house. We saw them start up ,fly, land and be parked in the hanger. You could reach out and touch it.
