LOS ANGELES — A new initiative from Supervisor Kathryn Barger’s office could enable more Altadena residents to reside in RVs.
The Altadena Town Council is evaluating a plan that would allow temporary permits for local residents to park RVs on public streets in front of their homes.
Many properties in Altadena are too small to accommodate RV parking while undergoing renovations.
Residents must demonstrate that they are in the process of obtaining a building permit.
Critics of the proposal express concerns regarding safety, such as RVs obstructing sewer and electrical lines, which could pose risks for pedestrians.
