As per his death certificate, acquired from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health by TMZ, Haskins’ primary cause of death was attributed to Parkinson’s disease.

The certificate also enumerated irritable bowel syndrome, depression, hypertension, and benign prostatic hyperplasia as other notable conditions. Haskins passed away on September 27 at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California.

Haskins largely kept his Parkinson’s diagnosis to himself, reportedly severing ties with many close acquaintances, as shared by his ex-wife, Sarah Quinones, to TMZ. She mentioned that he spent his final years in an assisted-living facility and ceased responding to calls and messages from her and others.

The proprietors of Dimples Karaoke in Burbank, where Haskins frequented, mentioned in their tribute post that the actor had been diagnosed eight years prior, stating, “He had remained silent about his struggle with Parkinson’s, among other health issues, because he preferred not to garner attention. He didn’t want to explain to people. He would say, ‘What do I even say?’ So, I honored his wishes by staying quiet and supported him through his journey into the next chapter of his life.”

Haskins is widely recognized for his portrayal of Principal Belding on “Saved by the Bell” and its spin-offs.
