  5. They have Sleeping Cars, Dining Car, Sightseer Lounge Car with Snack Bar, and Coaches for the Coast Starlight, California Zephyr, Empire Builder, Sunset Limited, and Texas Eagle for all Superliner Routes with two ALC-42 or P42DC locomotives.

  7. 16:19 Referring back to this section in this video from 2018, Mike, do you know if the possible future service the Amtrak plans to run from San Jose to San Luis Obispo will need an additional locomotive for the steep climb even if it's hauling a shorter amount of coaches? Because the Pennsylvanian seems to run fine through the mountains while using a single locomotive around the Horseshoe Curve in Altoona, and I think from a previous study that was published in the 2010's about improving rail service along the Coast Sub, one of the ideas was to run two locomotives on a special train between San Francisco and LA though it never came to be.

  26. I went on the coast starlight train from Sacramento to Seattle as well as Los Angeles on the way to San Diego and I went with my mom on both of those trips and at some point we plan on taking the train to the state of Oregon in October this year with some friends of ours

  38. Loved the highlights. Maybe you should do a video like this for my favorite Western long-distance Amtrak Train: The Southwest Chief from Chicago to Los Angeles.

  39. Cool video, you should do videos like this for other route particularly the Southwest Chief and the California Zephyr.

  40. How long did it take you to film this? You could probably film the train coming into SLO and getting to Paso in one day but I’d imagine it was hard to keep up in some places. Like Grover Beach to SLO is cutting it close

  43. I've been in love with trains since I was 3 or 4. Albeit the love was solely revolved around LRV trains in LA, it was love and passion nonetheless. This exact video was the catalyst to my jumpstart in traveling to other counties and even inspired me to try and be a train photographer/videographer. Over 4 years later, I have came back to pay omage and respect to the man who turned me into the bus spotter and YouTube railfan enthusiast I am now. Thank you so much Mike, I shall forever be grateful for you showing me how fun railfanning truly is.

  45. The Amtrak P42DC on Phase V and ALC-42 on Phase VI & Phase VII look great and beautiful.

  46. Amtrak's gonna get a new superliner car set with a Transition Sleeper, Sleeping Cars, Pacific Parlour Cars, Dining Cars, Business Classes, Sightseer Lounge Cars, Coaches, and Coach Baggage Cars including we have already a viewliner Baggage Car.
