  1. The background music ruins this video , and I didn't even listen for a minute because of the annoying background music. Totally unnecessary and very very annoying.

  2. 💥💥💥💥

    Hop on hop off buses
    Griffet observatory

    Malibu beaches

Original farmers market + the grove

    The Getty

  3. Thanks for this. Probably going to LA in August and would love to do some non-touristy stuff. How long does it take to hike up to the observatory?

  4. As an LA native, I think this is a great list for first-time visitors. But when you talked about the museums on Wilshire Bl near Farmer's Market/The Grove you didn't mention the Petersen Automotive Museum, although you showed a clip of the exterior. I think it's an amazing museum and well worth a visit.

  5. Great video. I will be going to LA this year for the 2nd time. The standard question of where to stay, west hollywood or santa monica/venice beach. What do you recommend?

  6. We just stay at Venice for two night close to the beach. Walk to the beach and channel is beautiful than the photos. Feel safe. Do not like the traffic horrible. We are from the SF bay area and Venice weather is perfect at this time of the year.

  7. Most of these are on my LA bucket list! I’ve been to Malibu already (but nowhere else in LA) only because our Channel Islands trip was canceled due to weather and we took a day trip into Malibu from Ventura before the winds picked up.

The Comedy Store is also on my list, and maybe a studio tour. Definitely skipping Rodeo Drive and the star walk in Hollywood, and maybe swapping Venice Beach for Santa Monica. Thanks for the recs!

  8. Thank u so much ❤ Im cooming in july ,can't weait ❤❤

  9. Farmers market was terribly overpriced and poor, don't bother.
Go to the citadel shopping mall instead.

  10. Old person tourism. Boring.

  11. Lived in LA for 40 years, and I've visited those spots maybe twice each. They are basically tourist traps.

  12. I love your selection! And I also find your voice most relaxing! Visiting LA in Mid-May, will follow a lot of your tips! Thank you.

  13. Totally agree with your list. For a total LA experience, I would add concert at the bowl, Hollywood Bowl. Thank you.

  14. The downtown library is an amazing building. Not really a destination but that's what makes it so cool. I'd add a Dodger Stadium tour for any sports fans.

  15. It's shame not having good Governor and mayor in such beautiful state. Homeless. Drug pandemic put of control, illegals crimes, lack of of law and order.

  16. For Griffith Park the best time to go is on a cool clear fall or winter morning and start in the morning from down below at Ferndale like he said, and then go up to the top and spend the day and watch the sunset because you can go to the Observatory hike around like he said, but it gets so hot. He suggested starting in the late afternoon that would be a brutal hike. That is if you’d like me, you don’t like the heat pounding on you.

  17. As an outsider, I would expand the trip from Malibu and continue the drive on PCH to include Santa Barbara /Montecito and Ventura. Those places, and the drive, embody the spirit and feeling of LA. It's just so beautiful and relaxing.

  18. I coming Friday March 13th
Thank you for sharing it’ll be my first time in California

  19. I just suggest people to visit The Huntington Library. It beautiful  botanical gardens, and art collections. The LA ZOO, Americana Glendale, do a Palos Verdes Scenic Drive on coast and Long Beach Queen Mary. It all in LA County.

  20. Where would you stay? 😊

  22. I would never recommend friends and family to visit Venice Beach
Too many homeless/transient people. Instead, I would steer them to Naples Island area of Long Beach and The Strand that runs through Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach. Instead of Malibu, I would recommend they explore Palos Verdes which has a lot less tourists and still have gorgeous coastal scenery. Instead of The Grove and Farmers Market, I would encourage them to explore Little Tokyo, Olvera Street, Chinatown and Grand Ave in Downtown LA. Finally, I would encourage them to visit the museums along Exposition Park and Miracle Mile. These sites would give them a better understanding of the history and culture of LA. Your top 5 sites are too focused for the Instagram crowd, but I do agree that Griffith Observatory and trail to Hollywood sign are the number one thing all tourists should experience while in LA.

  23. In addition to The Getty and Getty Villa, The La Brea Tar Pits and Museum. When in Venice and canals, stay aware of the protected repeat offenders, random mental drug violence, and death.

  24. You showed a picture of the outside of the Petersen Auto Museum but didn’t mention it. Frankly I would rather go to it over the Getty any day. Petersen is world class the Getty isn’t even the best Art Museum in LA.
