CHP seeks tips after pedestrian killed in Bonsall hit-run on Interstate 15

The California Highway Patrol is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying the motorist involved in a hit-and-run accident that occurred early Tuesday morning on Interstate 15 in northern San Diego County, which resulted in a pedestrian’s death.

The incident took place at around 12:30 a.m. on the northbound lanes of I-15 near Old Highway 395 in Bonsall, as reported by authorities.

After the collision, the driver fled the scene, according to the CHP.

Investigators suspect that the vehicle involved may be a Mazda, which should show signs of damage to its front and undercarriage.
