  1. That golden frog you showed is sadly extinct in the wild. A contagious bacterial fungus that only affects amphibians has rendered their population too dangerous to continue living in the wild and in the mid 2000s, scientists rounded up all of the population left (around 30) and brought them to various zoos and aquariums for researchers and biologists to help their species continue to thrive, but without any way to counter the bacteria, their only life is sadly being kept in a confined space that constantly maintained and cleaned. They will never be able to go back to the wild.

  13. I love this aquarium. Perfect size IMO and great mix of indoor and outdoor areas. That show in Pacific Visions is great and I love the tech heavy displays in that area. Its sad the aviary was closed but totally understandable. Theres a scene in a random allergy med ad that was filmed there. Every time I see the ad I think of that aquarium LOL
