LOS ANGELES, California — Mudslides obstructed roadways in the Los Angeles area on Friday following intense rainfall that hit regions affected by last month’s wildfires, causing bare hillsides to give way.
Some locations in Los Angeles received up to 2.8 inches (7 centimeters) of rain within a single day, resulting in flooded areas and burn scars in Pacific Palisades and Altadena littered with fire debris and rubble.
