  5. Wow, I live in Cambodia now but Colima's used to be the ABSOLUTE WORST. Canned cheese on the carne asada fries and just totally disgusting. That was years ago so maybe they changed owners.

  9. Colimas in Chula Vista has the best Adobado Burrito Ive ever had! Also best machaca burrito is found in National City at Las Lomitas. And best pollo asado burrito ever is in El Cajon at Valerios.

  12. El Zarape is a common stop for me because Diversionary Theater/Clark's Cabaret is very close to it. Clark's doesn't have more to eat than chips and cookies, so they are cool with you bringing in food and buying your drinks from them. Say high to Derrol, the bar manager!

  16. Must try for anything san diego shop style is el pollo grill in lemon Grove… aside from the best Mexican grilled chicken in the city their traditional sd style taco shop menu items are smackin!!! Hands down tops in the county and even all southern Cali imo. Get a bar folks 💯

  17. Have you tried Lolitas? I am curious to know your review on them. Most of them are located in Chula Vista Area but they have one in Clairmont and Downtown. It's our family favorite!

  27. Theres a difference between taco shops and mexican restaurants. Taco shops like Nicos, Los Betos, Filibertos, Humbertos, etc. all pretty much have the same type of menus. Not saying they're not good but not the same as a sit down and dine type of mexican restaurant. That being said, love me some rolled tacos with guac and cheese and carne asada burro !
