  7. You know what? Stay to the end of the video. The Easter egg is at the end when the guy shows the salt & pepper chicken wings from Golden Chopsticks. He’s 100 percent right. Those wings slap! I used to drive 20 minutes South just to order those wings from their original location in National City.

  16. Dude, you seriously need a cardiac center as a sponsor. “Get 10% off with discount code GARETH at the Conrad Prebys Scripps Health Cardiac Center. Every fifth visit gets you a year worth of Lipitor for free.” 🤣

Got to come up to North County Costal… we have some sleepers. Hint, Los Tacos (Al pastor on the trompo, Mexican sashimi, lingua, tripa, 5 types of fresh salsa a day) and Agave Birria (at the gas station) in Encinitas. But we have some real fun dives and dive bars. Come before Captain Kenos is gone and the $5.99 spaghetti special is gone forever.

If you want to do something more elevated the new little Italy restaurant Crudo Cevicheria and Oyster Bar has some bomb aguachiles and a really nice uni toast.

  21. i'm from oceanside, living in southeastern pennsylvania, feeling homesick and finding a lot of joy in seeing you run around familiar areas! if you ever end up doing a video on san diego area sushi or seafood places, i think you'd find some unique menu items at wrench and rodent — if you end up checking them out, i hope you enjoy!

  25. Eh I live in San Diego, and these guys seem like fine enough cooks, but this “flaming hot Cheeto” gimmick has gone far enough and I’m not into it. This is straight “let’s make stupid menu items for stupid white people” (including the hot Cheeto moz sticks being a dead giveaway lol) to me (I’m white btw). Theres no way you are gonna convince me that $25 bacon wrapped burrito is worth it at all other than some kind of stupid shock value. I guarantee to anyone who is watching this video, your money is better spent on a $10 burrito from any random hole in the wall just making simple, straight forward, delicious burritos on the daily. And I remember when I could get those for $5… such is life 😂

If I’m driving down to Chula it ain’t gonna be for that.

Not hating on anyone who likes it, I’m sure it’s alright, but it ain’t for me and isn’t at all representative of the amazing food we have here.

San Diego is a super underrated town when it comes to our food. Flaming hot Cheeto burritos is a far cry from so much of the culinary delights we have.
