  2. Idk why you qualify these spots as โ€œhiddenโ€ when theyโ€™re all quite known and often have lines?

  3. The person who made this video eats like a pig. He stuffs his mouth and then talks with food in his mouth. I did enjoy the restaurants he chose.

  4. Someday if you havenโ€™t already check out Volareโ€™s pizza. Best in the nation. I have to laugh at myself, I ride my bike by Ahns cleaners everyday and had no clue it was not a cleaners.

  5. Medium rare burger at Canada steak burger

  6. I forget what itโ€™s called but there is a dinner owned by an Asian man and his Russian wife. Best breakfast in the city.

  7. Stardust donuts, Tres Milpas, Marios,( la mesa) porkyland. Your welcome ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  8. Bro u take down those sandwiches like a PROFESSIONAL ๐Ÿ˜‚

  9. Ahnโ€™s Dry Cleaning looks so interesting and fun!

  10. I've been a Chicken Pie Shop aficionado since they were in Hillcrest. P.S. Better than grandma's!

  11. I love to stop in to DZ Akins just to get desserts to go. Their Reubens are to die for!

  12. Literally none of these are โ€œhiddenโ€ most locals no about these ๐Ÿ˜‚

  13. Gotta love SD. We are very proud of our VERY diverse food culture! You can find everything here. Thumbs up on all these selections.

  14. Bob Townsend from the Chicken Pie Shop reminds me of Trevor Hoffman.

  15. Love that deli

  16. I wish I could eat like you and not be 300 pounds! ๐Ÿ˜‹

  17. Here to say, "DZ Akins secret?" However, everyone else has, so a shout out to Ted Leitner who got me hooked on it in the 80s.

  18. I'm 78 years old and my grandma used to take me to the Chicken Pie Shop. I LOVE it!!!! And great memories!

  23. What was the name of the Japanese restaurant?

  24. You need to do a more recent one

  25. OMG Gareth is showing off his ding dong LOL

  26. I lived in San Diego county for 31 years. I used to eat at restaurants all over the county. I now live in the Central Valley. I think that the food in the Central Valley is not as good as in San Diego county, especially the Asian restaurants.

  27. Tacos El Panson on El Cajon blvd. Try the Sopes and crispy Tripas taco. TRULY a hidden gem. Youโ€™re welcome.

  28. Holy Nancy Pelosi! You got me there lol…I love DZ AKINS..

  29. How do you say you're not a local without saying you're not a local? You come out with this lameass list.
    Come on.

  30. Why Nancy pelosi? Because she owns restaurants and luxury hotels?

  31. I got 3 out of 5 so not so hidden. Still a good list

  32. Iโ€™m a local and the only place that is worth your money is the Japanese food place. ๐Ÿ˜…

  33. I'm a native and used to live down the street and didn't know about An's Dry cleaning. My Diabetes nurse isn't going to be happy.

  34. The Chicken Pie shop isn't the same now a days. I'm a local who has loved this place for years. The pot pie deal includes a slice of yummy homemade pie . I've been finding small bones inside the pot pies lately. They contain only shredded chicken with a small amount of gravy. Afterwards I called the restaurant and manager claims it happens randomly. I'm thinking Maybe its the prep cooks. I won't be returning again to eat their pot pie. I love their sweet pies. D.Z. Akins Deli is very good but pricey.

  35. These arent secrets dude

  36. Who in San Diego doesn't know Atkin's? I like to go there for breakfast. It is not too crowded.

  37. I lived in the San Diego area from 1984 until 2004. First in the Navy and then working for several Doctors at Alvarado Hospital. I probably went to DZ Akins for lunch 3 times a week. Now that I live in Virginia, I really do miss that place.

  38. Iโ€™m from San Diego and I never been to DZ Akins even though I know itโ€™s famous here but I have a feeling itโ€™s all hype plus Iโ€™ve seen the menu and it seems overpriced, Iโ€™ve had some of the desserts from the little dessert store they have and everything I got was much better looking than what it actually tasted itโ€™s was very meh, when you eat next to THE freakin owner I start to not truly trust your review lol

  39. I had no idea about dry cleaner ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

  40. Pot pie so good ๐Ÿ˜ญ love that place

  41. Dz Akins far??๐Ÿ˜‚ 20 minutes to the ocean! Alpine is โ€œfarโ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚

  42. DZ Akins and the CHICKEN PIE SHOP! Classics…

  43. I have been the Pie Shop, you can do one of two things there, eat or drink but not both. Usually I can drink at least 3 soda's at a meal. but at the Pie Shop I could not finish one, there was so much food and when you drink it fills your stomach up full. Old school diner through and through.

  44. Born and raised here and literally such a hub for food
It doesnโ€™t matter what culture you want so much food in north park and gaslamp and north county and literally everywhere
For ramen you gotta go to underbelly or harrumama
