  1. That parking garage right just before landing made it that much more difficult. I remember that garage being built in the 80s, and at the time many wondered how it even got approval to be built so close to the runway, even made the local news concerning this.

  2. Nice vids. What Z did you used to work at?

  3. Donโ€™t you mean the "infamous" / fishbowl landing of my hometown, Sandy Eggo. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. Nice jet! Currently in ground school right now and hoping to be up in those skies soon!

  5. New construction is part of T1A which is scheduled to open in 2025, at which point old terminal will be demolished and a new one built to add onto the new Terminal. That will be T1B. T1A is roughly 2/3 of the total length and T1B is the remainder. T1A must be 100% before next phase can begin.

  6. San Diego is a decent place but wtf with that parking garage???

  7. That guy should not be a pilot

  8. Do you have a night version?

  9. There's no doubt, taxiing can be taxing.

  10. Famous? First I've heard it called that….

  11. I didn't know airport approaches were known as famous, or not ha.

  12. It is one thing to grease a landing with a 737-800 Max at Sky Harbor in Phoenix, but much harder to do at Lindberg. Yet, some of the Southwest pilots can do it. Landing a 747 with that ill placed parking garage must be very difficult.

  13. Pilot makes too many mistakes probably why he was blurred out.

  14. โ€ฆnot pro

  15. First job after flight instructor, I flew a Piper Cherokee Six, then a Navajo Chieftan LAX to SAN Lindburgh five days a week for about 3 years. I didn't see it on this video but I remember the VASI lights would pulsate on and off. I asked why (finally) and was told it indicated a non-standard glide slope. Yep, it was a little steeper than normal. LOL

  16. finally an air traffic controller i understand…

  17. There was way too much going on with that approach procedure!!!!!

  18. Landed here 100 times from the cheap seats. Pretty sweet to see it from this angle.

It's absolutely gorgeous, which I'm sure you guys don't get to appreciate cause it looks like there a bit of a needle to thread ๐Ÿ˜…

  19. Arizona to touchdown at SAN: 50 minutes.
    Runway to terminal: 50 minutes.

  20. back in the late 90's my friend lives near by in some apartments budling we would go to the roof top and planes would by over so close ti was awesome

  21. that was cool

  22. Spot the SR71 Blackbird.

  23. Awesome. You pilots are amazing. Love SD

  24. I hear these planes all day and night, no rules here

  25. 1:45 skydiving operations must not have been happening that day or right at that time other wise you could see people in free fall or canopyโ€™s opening up around 3500-5500 ft

  26. Lived in Diego for years and never stop being amazed how beautiful it was landing in SD ๐Ÿ™‚ amazing ๐Ÿ˜ป city

  27. That lake is Sweetwater Springs Reservoir, and I live very close to it. The San Diego Airport is one of the busiest single runway airports in the world.

  28. Post more!

  29. I got more nauseous by the camera movement rather than the flight๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  30. Love the garage in front of the runway. LOL

  31. For years they talked about trying to move the airport north to where MCAS Miramar is for safety reasons, but then suddenly that talk ended and they started doing major construction on the existing airport property.

  32. Whatโ€™s your vector Victor

  33. Great view of Mt. San Miguel, enjoyed that.

  34. As a resident in the 4th and Elm area, We can read the tire manufacturer's logo on the landing gear so every plane coming in gives me a slight "pucker response". I cant imagine a 1st time landing at Lindberg.

  35. im high af

  36. they should have rebuilt the airport somewhere else instead on making a bunch of updates

  37. Last weekend I was at mission bay beach and saw the planes landing there and was wondering how it would look like from the pilot's view – looks way less dramatic than from the ground.

  38. Neat video. I can see my little community in the mountains on approach, and I'm working at the Terminal expansion project, so I can see home and work.

  39. BEAUTIFUL.
