Over 30,000 residents were ordered to evacuate in Southern California on Tuesday following a rapidly spreading brush fire in the Pacific Palisades area near Los Angeles.
The Palisades fire, which has scorched more than 2,900 acres, has not resulted in any reported injuries or fatalities.
By Tuesday evening, a second blaze ignited several miles away in Altadena, California, quickly consuming 200 acres within 30 minutes and triggering urgent evacuation orders, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
